Dr. Cheryl Lewis, PHD, LLP, Owner and Clinical Director

Dr. Lewis received her Master’s in Developmental Psychology and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University. Dr. Lewis is a Psychologist currently in private practice, where she specializes in psychological assessments in the clinical setting. With over 25 years experience she has special expertise in the treatment of a variety of disorders including mood disorders, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, PTSD, ADHD, Bariatric evaluations, and marriage and family therapy. She specializes in working within a family system on educating families on shaping ADHD behaviors and with couples on awareness of the hurtful patterns which harm relationships. Her role is to assist couples to explore their triggers, and in the session repair the interactions which create the disconnection and then generalize these principles to the entire family. Dr. Lewis has an interest in the assessment and treatment of the pre-surgical screening of medical patients for suitability for invasive procedures, the application of psychological testing to medical patients, and consultation with physicians and other health care providers in these areas. As director, Dr. Lewis supervises all clinicians, oversees placement of new clients to appropriate therapists, as well as reviewing client progress. Dr Lewis is a member of the American Psychological Association and Michigan Psychological Association.

Rachel Boggan, LMSW, Clinical Supervisor

Rachel obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State. Her experience and skills vary from working with children, adolescents, adults, and families of all races, ethnicities, and socio-economic statuses. After graduating Rachel worked in outpatient therapy focusing on the mental health of both adults and children. Rachel has co-facilitated anger management group for adolescents in the juvenile system as well as facilitating an anti-bullying program within after school programs in various school districts. Rachel’s specialties and interests include working with children, adolescents and their families as they cope with anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, life changes, family-relational difficulties, trauma, and abuse. In addition, Rachel oversees and supervises all of our wonderfully educated and skilled LLMSW’s.

Special Jones, LMSW, QMHP, CMHP

Special Jones was born and raised in Minnesota, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University. Upon successful completion of her bachelor’s degree- she quickly obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from San Diego State University. Since then, she has moved to Michigan to continue working as a Mental Health Therapist. Her practice focuses primarily on Children, Adults, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, and Stress-Related Disorders such as PTSD. Due to her wide scope of practice, Special not only offers competence in various areas; she draws heavily on the Person-Centered Approach in which therapy is tailored to each individual’s symptoms, needs, and overall goals. Other Modalities often used in therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Art therapy. In working with Special as your primary therapist you will learn and implement various coping skills to manage your symptoms, process emotions, challenge and reframe negative thinking, and gain a greater understanding of the “why” you think/behave/feel the way you do- all within a supportive and judgment-free space.

Chantel Poquette, LLMSW

Chantel obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Work at Saginaw Valley State University. Continuing her educational pursuit, she went on to receive her Masters of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Her professional path has led her to focus in various areas, including working with children with Austism, adolescents, and young adults navigating grief, as well as the aging population. Chantel has dedicated time to cofacilitating grief support groups and witnessing the transformative power of shared experiences. In her practice, she brings knowledge in addressing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. She believes in fostering a safe and open space where individuals can embrace their authenticity, and finding opportunities for creativity, resilience, and personal development.  Her passion lies in helping other people piece together the puzzle and cultivating a healthy fulfilling life.

Giselle Kendrick, LLMSW, CAADC-DP, DBT

Giselle is a therapist who approaches from an empathy-based and person-centered practice and uses eclectic interventions in modalities such as CBT, EFT (EIFT), DBT, Bowlby, and Bowen Family systems, and components of play and art therapy. She has a passion for assisting clients in their healing process to assist individuals, couples, and families in discovering, healing, and embracing their best selves from a holistic perspective. Giselle has experience in substance/alcohol, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism), relationship, and family/couples therapy.

Rickeysha Brown, LLMSW

Rickeysha Brown is a compassionate therapist who graduated from the California State University of Los Angeles with a Bachelors of Social Work and went on to further her educational goals by attending Wayne State University where she earned her Masters of Social Work degree.  She has an extensive background of experience and education who is dedicated to helping her clients achieve mental and emotional well-being. Rickeysha has a background in cognitive-behavioral therapy where she empowers individuals to identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior. She also incorporates mindfulness techniques and stress management strategies into her practice to help clients develop healthy coping mechanisms. With her warm and empathetic approach creates a supportive environment for clients to work through their challenges and achieve their goals.

Jasmine Stout, LLMSW

Jasmine Stout is a therapist with a background in social work who appreciates understanding the whole person and how their mental health can impact their quality of life. Jasmine utilizes interventions from various evidence based practices including, but not limited to, psychotherapy, CBT, art therapy, play therapy and more.
