Dr. Lewis received her Master’s in Developmental Psychology and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University. Dr. Lewis is a Psychologist currently in private practice, where she specializes in psychological assessments in the clinical setting. With over 25 years experience she has special expertise in the treatment of a variety of disorders including mood disorders, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, PTSD, ADHD, Bariatric evaluations, and marriage and family therapy. She specializes in working within a family system on educating families on shaping ADHD behaviors and with couples on awareness of the hurtful patterns which harm relationships. Her role is to assist couples to explore their triggers, and in the session repair the interactions which create the disconnection and then generalize these principles to the entire family. Dr. Lewis has an interest in the assessment and treatment of the pre-surgical screening of medical patients for suitability for invasive procedures, the application of psychological testing to medical patients, and consultation with physicians and other health care providers in these areas. As director, Dr. Lewis supervises all clinicians, oversees placement of new clients to appropriate therapists, as well as reviewing client progress. Dr Lewis is a member of the American Psychological Association and Michigan Psychological Association.
Destiny Ventimigglia obtained both her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Within the sessions she focuses on teaching you how to manage anxiety, fear, anger, depression, and other life stressors by working with you to construct your goals. She uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and strength based therapy to help navigate her sessions. Destiny creates a welcoming environment for all clients to feel calm and comfortable.
Sharleen Floer graduated from Brescia University with her Master of Social Work. She has worked with at-risk youth in the Community Mental Health setting. Although Sharleen works with a diverse population, her areas of interest include adolescents, family conflict, trauma, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. She uses the Person Centered approach to help her client’s achieve personal growth and self-actualization. In session, Sharleen focuses on honesty and personal strengths in a nonjudgmental atmosphere to encourage a trusting relationship with her clients. She also tries to bring families and couples closer together to help them to have fulfilling relationships.
Julianne Randall obtained her Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University. She has many years of experience working with children including working with children in the school setting. She has had trainings for ABA therapy and selective mutism at Oakland University. Julianne provides a welcoming, nonjudgmental, supportive environment for her clients and has an interest in working with a variety of mental health issues; trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders and ADHD. Julianne also has experience working with the LGBTQ community, children and families of divorce and custody related issues. She utilizes a holistic approach which includes mind, body, spirit and inner child healing. Julianne also uses play therapy, attachment theory and cognitive behavioral therapy with her clients.
Emma graduated with her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University and focuses her approach to therapy on a Person-Centered perspective to meet the client where they are and where they want to be. She has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults. Emma uses structured problem solving techniques, talk therapy, play therapy and strength based therapy in addressing each person’s unique symptoms, needs and goals while incorporating harm reduction techniques. In session, Emma focuses on creating a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment to encourage a trusting relationship with her clients and establishing a safe space.
Drew obtained his Bachelors degree in Psychology from Albion University and went on to receive his Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. He works with all ages, from children to adult. He has experience working with mental health, substance abuse, and interpersonal resolutions. He uses a wide variety of methods, from play therapy to guided meditation. Drew emphasizes the partnership between client and therapist.
Elizabeth Wynne, LLMSW obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents within the school setting. Within the sessions she focuses on teaching you how to manage ADHD symptoms, classroom management techniques, anxiety, anger, depression, and other life stressors. She uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and strength based therapy to help navigate her sessions.
Jackie Godin (she/her) received her Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University. Jackie is a clinical social worker with experience in many different fields of mental health including, but not limited to: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, issues arising from trauma, disordered eating, SUD, couples therapy, and LGBTQIA-affirming care. She approaches therapy from a person-centered perspective and pulls from many different theories such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc. Jackie encourages a supportive, sex-positive, casual environment for her clients to address any and all issues they are currently facing in their lives.
Kara Walker is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) through the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA). She can be a useful tool as well in addition to talk therapy. These two resources combined address the mind-body connection that is so important in making positive, healthier changes both before and after the surgery. Kara works with clients who are planning to or have gone through weight loss surgery and need additional coaching on diet and lifestyle changes to achieve greater success in reaching their long-term health goals by promoting education, a nutrient-dense diet, and active lifestyles.
